The GAA's Central Competition Controls Committee ordered the replay after it emerged that Laois, who won the game by 1-10 to 0-10, had introduced a seventh substitute, Shane Murphy, for the black-carded Brendan Quigley deep into injury time.
They had already used their quota of six substitutes by that stage, none of which were understood to have been blood substitutes.

CCCC had the option of making Laois forfeit the game or issuing a fine but were mindful of the precedent either option would have set.
Laois were due to play Clare in Ennis in the second round of the qualifiers on Saturday week but after an executive meeting tonight, agreed to play.
The winners of the replay will now play Clare on the weekend of Saturday/Sunday July 9/10.
Mick Lillis is set to be appointed as the new Laois senior football manager.
It is believed the Portlaoise man has earned the approval of the selection committee appointed to find a successor for fellow Tomas O Flatharta, who stepped down following a disappointing Championship showing this year.
Lillis has seen off competition for the job from former county stars Joe Higgins and Leo Turley as well as John Sugrue, who was thought to be a particularly strong contender.Sugrue was part of Pat O’Shea’s management team when his native Kerry won the All-Ireland in 2007.He has been living in Laois for a number of years and was the team’s physio during Justin Mc Nulty’s three seasons in charge form 2011-13.Four out of the last five Laois managers have been outside appointments dating back to Mick O’Dwyer’s four-year reign from 2003, with Sean Dempsey’s two-year spell, which ended in 2010, being the exception.Lillis stood down as Portlaoise joint manager after their narrow defeat to St Vincent’s in the Leinster club final two years ago.But with the club very much the dominant force in Laois football as they go for their ninth county title in succession this year, Lillis’s contribution to a string of those successes has helped sway the selection committee in his favour.
